Ethnic Composition of the Population of Montenegro

Summary/Abstract: Based upon all political, economic, social and cultural changes in Montenegro during the last century and at beginning of this century, a significant transformation of demographic phenomenons and processes influencing contemporary ethnic composition of its population has occurred. A characteristic of Montenegrin populaton is its high level of ethnic heterogeneousity. This paper will make a small coutribution by a theoretical and practical analysis of both ethnodemographical development of Montenegro and quantitative relation between most significant ethnic communities, including their contemporary geographical dispersion and concentration.
