Summary/Abstract: Humanization of relationships within the organization is expressed through the respect for the man at work, noticing his unique personal contribution to the running of the company and creating the conditions allowing him to express himself through work. The social capital concept is a part of this trend of considerations as privileged and highlighted the importance of positive relationships for the effective operation of the organization. Did the authors of first management theories consider these issues? Were in the second half of the nineteenth and the first half of the twentieth century the seeds of the concept of social capital in relation to business management born? The aim of the study was made an attempt to answer such questions. Examining the question of humanizing relations supervisor – subordinate in the context of the concept of social capital author focuses on the classical and behavioral management school.
