Strategic Goals According to the Perspectives of the Personal Balanced Scorecard in Opinion of the Academic Teachers from the Westpomeranian Region Public Universities – Research Results

Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The main aim of this article is to present the part of poll results. The poll was sent to the staff of the public universities from the Westpomeranian region. This poll was aimed at, among the other purpose, the knowledge about the personal strategic goals of the universities employees. The proposition of goals from which respondents could choose the most important in their opinion goals, have been assigned to the perspectives of the personal balanced scorecard, which is the part of the total performance scorecard concept presented by H.K. Rampersad. Design/methodology/approach – While writing the article, the Author used the poll results analysis, as well as the deduction methods. Findings – In the presented part of the questionnaire results is visible a significant difference in the approach to the personal goals of the particular groups of academic teachers. None of goals received 100% indicated by all universities employees, what’s proves, that it is very important to have the individual approach to each employee, if the organization want to use the Rampersad’s total performance scorecard correctly. At the same time, presented poll results are the basis for further consideration and analysis of the filled questionnaires. Originality/value – The results of research presented in this paper have a unique character. Until now, in fact, no attempt has been made to know the strategic goals of academic employees in terms of the ability to create the personal balanced scorecards for them.
