Summary/Abstract: The anthology of young political scientists connected with the Brno school of political science deals with the current position of the Russian Federation in the post-Soviet area in the second half of the first decade of the 21st century. Several variably interesting outlines of the Russian geopolitical evolution compared with the “near foreign countries” and the forecasts are logically supplemented with a self-contained case studies series dealing with the interaction with Belorussia, Ukraine, Moldavia, Southern Caucasia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstánem, Tádžikistánem, Turkmenistánem and Uzbekistánem as well as with the overlap into the relations with other participants on the field of international politics.
