Summary/Abstract: The beginning and development of the tempestuous historical events of the Young Turk Revolution in July of 1908, which shook the foundations of the Ottoman Empire, were largely and distinctively registered by a number of immediate eyewitnesses and partici-pants. Such an example is that of Harrison Griswold Dwight, the American correspondent from Istanbul at the mentioned period. It was he that left us with amazing descriptions of those events which were then enriched with various photographs taken by him or other photographers who happened to find themselves there at the time. He later published his authentic impressions in the book titled “Constantinople – Old and New”, published in London and New York in 1915.
