Summary/Abstract: Nowadays performance of work is increasingly characterized by flexibility of time and place, leading to difficulty in separating the spheres of work and non-work. Frequent performance of professional duties at home requires special procedures leading to the separation of time and space dedicated work from the sphere of home, where the home is understood as a refuge, the area of non-work. Proposals for arrangement solving this problem can be found, among others, in IKEA catalogue, in which there are presenting not only furniture, but also lifestyle. Analyzing the IKEA catalogs from selected years between 1999 and 2014 we revealed the presence of solutions dedicated to work in the house and we found change of the approach to it - from solutions that recognize work as a necessity, for which you have to find a place at home after a specific totality of work, when almost each activity of adults and children is treated as work.Nowadays performance of work is increasingly characterized by flexibility of time and place, leading to difficulty in separating the spheres of work and non-work.
