Summary/Abstract: This paper analyzes figures of “old” and “new” times in Edhem Mulabdić’s narrative prose, and the means of their inscription into space. The figure of “old times” is most often inscribed into intimate spaces (homes, houses), whereas the figure of “new times” is inscribed into public spaces (marketplaces, coffee shops). The author observes both figures within the context of the Austro-Hungarian theme in Bosniak literature.
