Summary/Abstract: The Commissariat for Jewish Affairs was established by a Decree of the Council of Ministers adopted on August 26,1942 and promulgated in SG. 192 of August 29, 1942. The ordinance contains eight chapters, 59 articles and made changes and additions to the Laws and Regulations adopted by the National Assembly until then. The implemented changes were on the issue of determining the Jewish background, general restrictions on the Jewish population in terms of residence, profession and business, property, capital, etc. The Ordinance sets out the rules relating to the structure of the Commissariat for Jewish Affairs, its management,funding, powers. Precisely this Government structure had a leading role in the organization and implementation of all measures to solve the Jewish Question in the Bulgarian territories.
