Summary/Abstract: Our concern is to make ignored periods unearth from our shared histories. The TunisianRevolution celebrated the end of Orientalism. Our purpose is not to mention the big oriental and artistictradition of the nineteenth century, the noblest one, which took part on its own way to the constitution ofa collective heritage, but it is to mention this tarnished orientalism.Another theory being threatened is the one by Francis Fukuyama, which underlines that with the successof liberal values carried by the Western countries, leads to the end of History. It also threatened the theoryof the clash of civilizations dearest to S. Huntington, for during this revolution, we didn’t chant hostileslogans to Western countries.
