Summary/Abstract: The subject of study in the present paper is the legal regulation of the institutionalized system of ethical analysis and moral evaluation of medical experiments with human beings. In that regard both domestic and international legal instruments regulating the activity of the Ethics Committees in the area of scientific human medical experimentation are subject of analysis in the paper. Moreover, the paper makes critical analysis of the relevant provisions of the Act on Public Health as well as some propositions de lege ferenda on the future amelioration of internal legislation regarding the activity of those ethical commissions.
