Elements of novelty in the internal regulation regarding the/on the civil aspects of international child abduction

Summary/Abstract: At the time of the accession of Romania to the European Union, the issue of the harmonization of the Romanian legislation with the European legislation in all the specific fields has been very intensively raised. Respecting this logical and at the same time normal tendency, the very sensitive field at European level of the protection of minors against any kind of abuse had to be treated with the utmost seriousness also by the Romanian legislation in the field. This article aims to realize an overview of the main novelty issues made by Law no. 63/2014 for amending and completing the Law no. 369/2004 on the application of the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
