Summary/Abstract: Personnel selection can be defined as an organizational activity, conducted with the aim of choosing candidates to fulfill specific work activities. Professional selection aims for the individualization from the population of the fittest individuals whose skills will best fit the specific profession. In this context, identifying the challenges, the solutions and outlining new action strategies in response to the challenges posed by asymmetric conflicts characterising the 3rd Millennium, represent the subject of constant concern for strengthening specialized structures. These structures need to execute special missions, namely in the domain of information, counterintelligence, prevention and anti-terrorism to ensure the National Security.
