Summary/Abstract: State backups do not have solely national dimension, but rather appear as regulation of many international and regional organizations and institutions. The European Union has an almost unique system of international control of state aid. The system of state aid control has been reformed on several occasions, the last reform is linked to the State Aid Modernisation package (SAM) in 2012, which sets three general objectives: faster growth in a strengthened, dynamic and competitive internal market, the Commission's focus on European economic interest and clearly defined rules and faster decisions by the Commission. The orientation of the Commission to European economic interests meant the amendment regulation, which governs the allocation of de minimis aid. Bearing in mind the tasks that Bosnia and Herzegovina needs to fulfill on its way to full membership in the European Union, and the fact that the recently established system of state aid control in the legislative and institutional form, is particularly important to keep track o f news in the field of state aid the European Union. The aim is to show the basic features of the modernization of state aid in the European Union which was launched at the time of the adoption of the system of state aid in BiH and extract the possible changes in the allocation of de minimis aid after the adoption of a new regulation that regulates them.
