Summary/Abstract: This article aims to analyze the impact that social security has on productivity and economic growth. We take the case of a country like Mexico with a big human capitaland a lack of professional training for the market, as well as certain institutional failures(such as the lack of incentives for companies) that affect low levels of national productivity. And slow economic growth. In this context, we add a very unequal distribution of wealth, about 60 percent of the population is poor and a large part of the active population works inthe informal sector and lacks social security, so more than 50 percent of the populationMexican population is vulnerable to risk situations and can not get out of poverty.
