Considerations on the Reception of Electronic Music

Summary/Abstract: The paper proposes to highlight some aspects of the reception of diverse genres of electronic music with different audible material: musique concrète, acousmatic music, electronic music for therapy. Using the method of guided interview on a sample of 52 adolescents with ages between 16 and 18, the study records interesting results regarding the capacity of the youth to confer meaning and significance to the works listened to, as well as the emotions perceived and the preferences and cultural conventions embedded in their conscience by formal and non-formal education.
