Summary/Abstract: This study is a continuation of a previous research concerning the reception of electronic music by adolescents. In the first part of the study we analysed the reactions of adolescents aged 16 to 18 (Mirela Mercean-Țârc, 2017); in this study, we will analyse and make comments on the particularities of the reception of this music by children and preadolescents aged 10 to 14. In the previous study, we chose the category 16 to 18 years old because we considered that their psychological particularities and cultural experience will allow them to understand and appreciate more easily the message and the contents of some specific genres of electronic music, whose contents are to a great extent complex and abstract. The success of this research gave us the idea to extend the explorations on a group of children and preadolescents and to compare the differences between the modalities of reception of the three categories chosen.
