Summary/Abstract: The analysed fauna proceeds from the archaeological research from the Teleorman Valley. This was discovered from the sites noted by the archaeologists with the sigles: Tel 008, Tel 009, Cla 002. It is attributed to Boian Culture, Giuleşti and Spanţov Phases. The number of determined bones is not big (561 - 17.8%). The archaeo-zoological analyse demonstrated that the activity of breeding animals has an important weight, especially of horned cattle and ovine-Caprinae. These were breeded for nourishment and although for their secondary products unlike the swine that were breed only for nourishment. The hunting is not well represented as number of fragments. Although as minimal number of individuals and species, in Boian-Giuleşti cultural period the wild fauna is much well represented (11 species) than that of Boian-Spanţov (5 species). It seems that, in the present state of the research, the weight of hunting is more important in Boian-Giuleşti than the one of Boian-Spanţov. This activity has a secondary role, that of supplementing the meat-nourishment, if we consider that it were hunted big and medium size species (stag, wild horse, roebuck, and wild boar).
