Summary/Abstract: The article shows implication for Poland which are the result of the internationalization and globalization processes taking place in the world economy. The result of these processes is the opening of the Polish media market for the foreign capital after 1989. That opening completely changed the capital and personal structure of that market. Till 1989 it was fully controlled by stated-owned publishers. Now it is mainly controlled by foreign daughter companies of big media players. These investors control about 70% of that market in terms of readers, watchers or Internet users. Some positive and negative tendencies are connected with that internationalization and globalization. They are described in the third part of the article being the assessment chapter. The article is mainly based on analyzing available data connected with this problem and on own analysis and reflections, a professional journalist.
