Summary/Abstract: The plural worlds’ thesis indicates the existence of parallel worlds which may be causally, temporally and spatially isolated, according to the controversial opinion of D. Lewis. If for a realistic analytical philosopher of religion, such as Alvin Platinga and other theists concerned with the problem of alternate possible worlds, one world can be upgraded from this whole multitude of worlds, whilst others remain at the level of possibility, D. Lewis argues that we have no reason to believe that a world would be more current than another, the issue of updating being meaningless to him. Applying these theories in the analysis of religious language, we will see that within one (or multiple) of the possible worlds the religious propositions can hold sense and truth, whilst within others they do not.
