Summary/Abstract: The paper analyzes the extent of the transposition of the requirements of Article 4 of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic into Slovak legislation on water protection and water maintenance. The paper also analyzes the relation of this legislation to the requirements arising from European legislation. The author analyzes the changes in the Slovak legislation brought by the constitutional act no. 306/2014 Coll. amending the Constitution of the Slovak Republic no. 460/1992 Coll. as amended.
