Summary/Abstract: In children’s literature, memory appears in different contexts. The article shows:— who/what is the memory object of the heroes of children’s books (living and dead family members, material objects),— in which educational situations can be used texts with a memory theme. Presented texts can influence children’s approach to memorabilia, people who live, but also those who have gone to eternity. Memory can enrich and energize the intellectual sphere of the youngest readers.
