Lean Management tools used for the purpose of production process improvement in an enterprise

Summary/Abstract: In this paper, issues related to the improvement of the production process have been discussed, in terms of tools and organizational practices somehow associated with the concept of Lean Management. The factor determining the implementation of Lean Management is the need to implement flexible production systems that allow rapid response to the market demand without compromising product quality. The further paper content presents the general principles of Lean Management and identifies the parameters of the production process covered by the improving measures, also noting the benefits of that management concept application. The next step in this study is to identify and make brief characteristics of lean tools and solutions, which determine the level of quality manufacturing processes. The last step is to develop a matrix of relationships between the identified areas of improvement and lean tools and conducted empirical research. The whole work is completed with a summary.
