Duration analysis of firms in the poviats of Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to construct the tables of firms duration. A continuation of the study of 2015 is the construction of duration tables, with particular emphasis on the intensity function of firms liquidation for poviats of Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship. The intensity function usually has a shape of inverted U (which is compatible with the theoretical model of learning). This study used data from the registry of REGON, related to companies established in Zachodniopomorskie Voivodeship in 2009-2011. These entities were observed to the end of 2013. In addition, using the Kaplan-Meier method and statistical tests, poviats are grouped according to the similarity model of survival.
