Summary/Abstract: The article investigates the methodological problem — involvement of electronic publications of the historical sources placed on the Internet in the scientific turn. The work represents rather detailed description and the analysis of sources across Russia of the transition period from the Middle Ages to Modern times (the XVI — the beginning of the XVIII century). Considered are the features of different types of historical sources and the possibility of their use in a research of the problems of public administration. In particular, specifics of studying of such sources as regulations, office work materials, anniversary collections, chronicles and sources of personal origin are shown. The work presents Internet resources on which historical sources of this period are published. Paid is the attention to activity of the state, separate state archives on digitization of these materials.
