Summary/Abstract: Unfortunately, about the nominal remembrance of believers, aloud, during theevening service (that is, at Vespers) was written very little in our country, and notin a decisive manner. That is why I want to emphasize that the analysis of thistheme calls for a much larger type of research, which the present study does notconsider; However, we will try to point out some aspects of this usance. What canbe said about this practice is that within the structures of Byzantine rite theremembrance of the living and the dead during the evening service has“survived” only in the rule of the Lity, which indeed, was “included” in theVespers structure but also in the Compline’s.
