Summary/Abstract: Although it seems a “common prayer”, devoid of any feature, given its repeated presence in the Funeral Ordinances, the prayer “God of the Spirits...” has a certain value, being considered one of the representative prayers for the dead; We would therefore like to dwell in this short article on some of its textual forms,which, in our opinion, are decisive in particular as regards the origin.
