Summary/Abstract: „The traditional prayer uttered after the soul leaves the body” is one of the „less known” structures of the church service, which should nevertheless be a point of interest, particularly, for those who are concerned about the history and evolution of liturgical traditions, as well as for the servants of our Church. Also, I consider that this short article manages to remove, among others, the main cause for which the specialists „neglected” these traditions for a long time, namely the absence of any clear proves with regard to its existence, and its structure, which is undoubtely similar to the other „healthy” liturgical practices of our Church. Therefore, this Church liturgical service, which also includes in its structure numerous „unusual” elements, should be taken into consideration accordingly and be held in high esteem.
