Multi-criteria methods in balancing socio-economic processes

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to identify multi-criteria methods for decision-making in the framework of sustainable development, thus taking into account the balance between social, economic and environmental aspects. The usefulness of multi-criteria analysis is illustrated by the decision of the linear investment’s location. Three methods (AHP, TOPSIS and PROMETHEE) were used to choose the best location of the investment. Research has shown the consistency of different methods’ results as well as their usefulness in decisionmaking to balance the socio-economic processes.
