Summary/Abstract: În acest articol, autoarea prezintă situaţia cărţilor digitale în Biblioteca Universităţii din Bergen, Norvegia, precum şi modul în care biblioteca universităţii îi poate ajuta pe studenţi şi profesori să-şi atingă obiectivele, punându-le la dispoziţie cărţi electronice. Autoarea împarte cărţile în cărţi achiziţionate de la vendori, cărţi „născute digital”, ai căror autori sunt angajaţi ai universităţii, şi cărţi vechi care sunt digitizate în cadrul bibliotecii. Discuţia se concentrează pe cărţile vechi şi pe anumite probleme pe care le ridică procesul de digitizare a acestora. In this article, the author presents the case of digital books in the University of Bergen Library in Norway, and how the University Library can aid the aims of their students and professors by making electronic books available. She divides the books into books that are bougth from commercial vendors, books that are „born digital” by employees of the University, and old books that are being digitised by the library. The discussion focuses on the old books, and some of the questions that are being raised.
