Summary/Abstract: Our interest goes in this study towards French compounds, towards portemanteau words and towards English loans and their integration to the French system. New lexemes in the target language are created by calque, which is the loan translation. Advertising messages appeared in the magazine Femme actuelle from 2004 to 2015 offered us a large scale of examples of compound words and calque.
