Reflection of the European Framework DigComp 2.0 in the training of LIS specialists at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”

Summary/Abstract: The requirements of the digital society for the acquisition of digital competencies, which are essential for the personal and professional realization of the citizens, are laid down in the curriculum of the LIS education at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. Curriculum review shows that bachelor and master programs meet the European Framework DigComp 2.0, IFLA requirements for library education and employers‘ high-demandneeds. The variety of disciplines that form fundamental knowledge and skills in students follows the logic of library and information science, but also the “pulse” of today‘s digital society.
