Summary/Abstract: The article is dedicated to the search of the optimal model of state-confessional relations for Ukraine and elaboration of development concept for such relations. Nowadays many post-Soviet countries, in particular the Russian Federation and Ukraine are characterized by the search of the optimal model of state-confessional relations, what leads to the specific transformational processes in this sphere. The author considers that the absence of legislative recognition of the further development of state-confessional relations in Ukraine provides the viability of the continuation of the researches for the purpose of the scientific rationale of the model of such relations and it is promising for Ukraine, and also, for the benefit of direction formulation and manners of their further improvement and development of the complex of specified relations. Nonetheless, the author believes that cooperation model of the noted relations is preferable for Ukraine. The described determines the necessity of the elaboration and legislative confirmation of the development concept of the state-confessional relations in Ukraine. But some Russian scientists think that the development of this concept is reasonable for Russia. On the basis thereof the author makes a suggestion concerning some probable key statements of the concept. Actual article may be used along with the elaboration of project of the development concept of the state-confessional relations in Ukraine, and also, in the time of reforming of the relevant legislation of Ukraine and other post-Soviet countries.
