Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The aim of this article is to identify the areas of HR controlling which are used by the companies and the ways of usage of the obtained data. This diagnosis aims to identify possible gap between expected support and the actually delivered data. Design/methodology/approach – The article uses the method of analysis of literature by the authors and questionnaire survey among managers of the chosen companies. Findings – The results of the research confirm the immediate application of HR controlling mostly in the areas of costs and efficiency and their usage mainly for salaries decision making. Originality/value – The main value of the article is identification of the information gap concerning incomplete usage of information about employees’ efficiency and the results of their evaluation, but also relating to lack of obtaining full data which would allow for forecasting and evaluation of potentials.
