Summary/Abstract: This article aims to present most of the main national policies that are oriented towards education and lifelong learning. Different aspects of policies that are revealed focus attention on key issues faced the conditions for increased participation of all ages people in education and learning.The article also presents several programs implemented in Blagoevgrad region, focused on facilitating the transition from the educational institution to the labor market. The analysis is aimed at showing positive and critical moments in the implementation of different programs and projects at regional and national level. The article is based on results obtained by the project under Horizon 2020 program in which the authors participate.
