Summary/Abstract: On the food products market there are already quite common products to be considered as a luxury. Many factors, both depending on the product and the consumer determine their recognition as a luxury. The paper discusses issues relating to luxury food products, presents a typology of food consumers and provides results of the study. The aim of this study was to show the influence of consumers age on the perception of this group of products, and preliminary evaluation of their behavior on this market.
