Summary/Abstract: Globalization has broadened the number of threats and challenges facing the entire world. Last decade posed, more than ever, new challenges to the international, regional and national security. Transformations occurred in all aspects of the public and individual’s life brought new risks and threats to their respective safety and security. Globalization is not only an economic and development process, but it is a framework for “globalized” criminal networks and transnational crime organizations. The financial benefits of globalization, the enhanced communication means and easier resources transfers, new technologies, and mobility are available for criminal networks distributed worldwide.
