Summary/Abstract: The national human rights institutions represent a new factor at the international stage. The standard-ization of their structure and term of office in the Paris Conventions strengthens their role at both national and international plan. The requirement in terms of an establishment of such an institution is evident in the Republic of Macedonia. Its establishment would represent a major step concerning appropriate implementation of the human rights international standards at a national level, as a means of connecting with the international networks of these institutions.
