The importance of industrial heritage objects for the development of Lower Silesian tourism offer

Summary/Abstract: The objective of the paper is to discuss problems referring to the implementation of potential ingrained in industrial heritage as the component of Lower Silesian tourism offer. The introduction presents industrial tourism and its influence on regional tourism offer development. The author discusses cultural tourism qualities and characterizes tourists taking advantage of this tourism model. The paper also illustrates opportunities and threats for industrial tourism in Poland and objects which facilitate taking advantage of such form of tourism. The author presents industrial heritage objects constituting the potential of Lower Silesian tourism economy as well as perspectives related to the implementation of tourism offer development strategy.
