Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to indicate the difficulties that one may encounter when preparing data for analysis. The presented examples refer to real data obtained from the e-shop offering footwear. They are related to web mining area that is called web usage mining. The author presents the results of data preparation process from the moment of obtaining the data, through auditing data to building prepared information environment.
