Summary/Abstract: The article presents trends in acceptance of price changes in international rail passenger transport, with first the theory of prices in rail transport, and secondly marketing research. The results of marketing research, which was done in August, September and October 2010 in international rail passenger transport show, what level of price increase is perceived as unnoticeable, noticeable but acceptable and noticeable and unacceptable, as well as conditions, which would make a 20% price increase acceptable for passengers.
