Health and hygiene in the advertisments of the early 20th century press

Summary/Abstract: The turn of the 20th century brought several changes not only in the socio-economical life, but in lifestyle as well. Advertisements concerning health and hygiene become common in printed press.Starting from the point of view that advertisements are telling us about the habits and requirements of a society this study gives a content analysis of the advertisements published in two newspapers Szamos (edited at Satu Mare) and Ellenzék (edited at Cluj).
