Summary/Abstract: The review considers main conclusions of the book by B.D. Mikhaylov devoted to the analysis of rock engravings in the ancient sanctuary “Kamennaya Mogila” (Stone Grave) located in the north Azov region. Mikhaylov’s contribution to the study of this unique archaeological site is highly appreciated. Unlike some other scholars the author of the review shares Mikhaylov’s opinion concerning the presence of depictions in Kamennaya Mogila related to different historic epochs starting from the final Palaeolithic.
