Socialist Industrialization in the Mirror of Szeklerland Press

Summary/Abstract: Socialist economic development was one of the prominent issues in Romania during the Ceauşescu era, and the Szeklerland was no exception to this concern.The national and local press published several surveys connected to industrialization, discussing the problems of regional development. We shall attempt to revise the modernization of Szeklerland during the 1970s and 1980s on the basis of the economic issues raised in the press.
