Summary/Abstract: Media sector of Serbia suffered several major turbulences in 2009 (economic crises, disloyal competition of irresponsible ownership, inadequate media legislation, immature self-regulation). The result was further devastation and disintegration of professional standards, as well as stability of the business. Vojvodinian media were burdened with additionally selective audience marked by linguistic competency as supplementary limiting factor rather than multicultural challenges, facing even more severe crisis.
