Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of the article is to identify stages of the process of achieving organizational maturity in image crisis management. At the beginning the author analyzed typology of crisis situations, referring it to sources of crises, then characterized groups and organizations involved in image crises. Next, the way crisis situations were taking place was depicted, including identification of crisis’s development phases. The analysis was a foundation for identifying the process of achieving maturity, which consisted of five stages. Finally, emphasizing a practical aspect of the dissertation, the author built and presented a diagnostic instrument which allowed the assessment of current level of organizational maturity regarding image crisis management.
