Risk factors in the agile project management. The outline of research problem

Summary/Abstract: Information Technology (IT) companies belong to one of typical industries that apply project management and team work concept, which prevails in the work organization method. The aim of the article is to present the outcomes of the research of recognition of the most common risk factors in IT agile project management. The research was conducted using structured in-depth interviews on the research sample of 111 project managers, leaders and project team members. The research was focused on the identification process of risk factors and their assessment during planning phase, focusing on the most frequent risk factors in agile projects. The results were discussed in the light of critical literature review and the reports on the success and failure factors of IT projects. Moreover, the recommendations on further studies were given.
