Summary/Abstract: The article is intended to bring the work of our National Renaissance painter Kolë Idromeno. The painter has been influenced and has used significantly different elements of Albanian cultural heritage, and in particular folk costumes and other ethnographic elements. Such a tendency is certainly related to the processes of historical and cultural developments of Albanian society at different times, but the main reasons are precisely the rich artistic and ethno-cultural values that contain regional and national symbolism. Kolë Idromeno has given a valuable contribution to this genre. In a large part of the work of this artist, is clearly evidenced the continuity of this tendence. Many personality portraits of this period pose with traditional costumes. The artist clearly appears to be aware of the wealth of details of this national wealth. For the study effect we will analyze its most representative works as "Motra Tone" and "Dasma Shkodrane", where the relationship between ethnography and the art of painting is utilized in various ways in function of the artistic values of the work.
