Summary/Abstract: Drenica stretches in the central part of Kosovo, between the region of Kosovo and Dukagjin. The Serbian and Montenegrin occupation of Kosovo in October-November 1912 and its violent annexation in the frame of the Kingdom of Serbia and the Kingdom of Montenegro in 1913, as result of the decisions by the London Conference of Ambassadors, was followed by the Albanians resistance in armed defending of their lands. Drenica in its territory had an organized and armed movement, which practically despite could not pull off her ideals, however did not leave the Serbian military and police administration on silence. This movement, as far as it had human-military powers, also tried protecting the Albanian population against the general Serbian oppression. Based on the sources and materials above, it is understood that Drenica was active approximately during one year (July 1913 - June 1914) within the framework of the Albanian National Movement, for the liberation of Kosovo from Serbian and Montenegrin occupation-annexation, and its unification with Albania. Through the organization of this armed movement, which was developed with surprising methods and strategies and in numerically small (30) and large groups (2.000), depending on the geography of the action, the Albanians of Drenica hit and challenged the Serbian administration in all its security (military and police) and government segments (state bodies of districts and communes).
