Summary/Abstract: The paper presents and analyzes the problem of the search for new conceptual orientations and philosophical positions to more accurately reflect the priorities in the field of pre-school education. Research grounds are given in support of the author’s thesis that environmental friendliness is a pedagogical value. The principle of environmental friendliness is placed in a contemporary educational context. The paper outlines its viability and specifies its projections in the child – environment pedagogical interaction.
