ONE OF THE STRATEGIC MATTERS OF THE WORLD (TO FIND SOLITIONS TO ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEMS: ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESMENT: ÇED-EIA)

Summary/Abstract: One of the strategic subjects is to find perfect remedies against environmental dirtiness in the world. As the more environmental problems have increased, the more importance of environment and environmental rights have arose after the second half of the 20th century. Environmental issues are closely tied with the future of Earth. First of all environmental problems threat human beings including animals and lifelesses existence of ecosystem, biodiversity and organisms. Similar problems are not only dealing with earth, continents, countries and regions, but also have effected in Çukurova and particularly around the Tarsus area. Environmental dirtiness problems dealing with Tarsus were examined in the frame of the “Environmental Rights” and “Environmental Impact Assesment Regulations”. Even the ÇED-EIA Report had been prepared for about this facility, “The Industrial Solid Waste Discarding Facility” had been rejected by the Ministry of Environment, because of the objection of the vicinity people. In this study, a questionnaire had been conducted by the interested in the dignitary of the vicinity and attained the result as the community was right in their objections and rejections.
